Con il sopraggiungere del ventesimo anniversario dei Pokémon molti fan talentuosi si sono messi all’opera per esprimere, a modo loro e in maniera creativa, il loro affetto nei confronti degli ormai celebri mostriciattoli tascabili.
Abbiamo visto recentemente la notizia dell’incredibile missione che Stained Glass Geek si è prefissato di raggiungere: creare 721 vetrate raffiguranti tutti i Pokémon finora esistenti.
Questa volta abbiamo scovato un altro talento. Si tratta di Jacob Newman, un cantautore ventiquattrenne della Pennsylvania meglio noto col nome d’arte di Jacob Norman Chainsaw-Arm.
Da sempre grande fan della saga Pokémon, ha deciso un giorno di scrivere e cantare una canzone su una delle sue creature tascabili preferite, ovvero Bastiodon, e attraverso di essa esprimere una metafora delle emozioni umane.
Si tratta sicuramente di una canzone molto intensa che vuol far capire che è indifferente quanti difetti abbia una persona, se la si ama lo si fa per quello che è.
Il testo del brano “Bastiodon” è il seguente:

Jacob ha poi deciso di continuare a scrivere componimenti riguardanti i Pokémon e di farlo per tutte le 721 specie esistenti. Per ora ne ha già realizzate un centinaio, tra cui una su MissingNo, e ognuna di esse affronta tematiche differenti.
Nel corso di un’intervista ha commentato in questo modo il suo ambizioso progetto:
“È come la maledizione di Re Mida, ogni canzone che scrivo diventa un Pokémon.”
