The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild premiato come Miglior Gioco dell’Anno ai D.I.C.E. Awards

Durante la cerimonia di premiazione organizzata in occasione della 21esima edizione dei D.I.C.E. Awards, Nintendo ha ricoperto un ruolo da autentica protagonista, sia per le numerose nomination e i molteplici premi conquistati, sia per il prestigioso premio alla carriera di cui è stato insignito Genyo Takeda.

Genyo Takeda ha cominciato a lavorare per la compagnia nel 1972, è stato promosso alla sezione Integrated Research & Development (Ricerca e Sviluppo, ovvero il suo storico e iconico ruolo) quando è stata fondata nel 1981 e si è ritirato nel 2017, per un totale di ben 45 anni di carriera.

Esponente di spicco del colosso di Kyoto, ha lavorato in prima persona su tantissimi titoli di successo (parliamo di giochi che hanno fatto la storia, del calibro di Punch-Out!!), per non parlare del suo coinvolgimento diretto nell’ideazione e nella realizzazione di Nintendo Wii. Nel luglio 2015, in seguito alla morte di Satoru Iwata, ha assunto, insieme a Shigeru Miyamoto, il ruolo di amministratore delegato ad interim di Nintendo, fino alla nomina di Tatsumi Kimishima, avvenuta nel settembre dello stesso anno.
